WHATS THE TEA WITH VITAMIN C?
Updated: Jul 13, 2020

The ingredient in question...
So it's not exactly new information that Vitamin C can do wonders for our skin, especially when it comes to evening out skin tone and lightening dark spots - but does it really work?
Mila Simone kindly sent me their 'Azzura Essence Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid Serum' to try and I am super impressed with the results.
What is the 'Azzura Essence'?
The Azzura Essence is a powerful blend of antioxidants that work to improve the overall appearance and feel of your skin. It has a light weight, oil-free formula and is beneficial for all skin types.
It contains Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid for botanical blend of Pomegranate, Aloe, Papaya.
What does it claim to do?
Erase wrinkles, fine lines & blemishes
Plump and hydrate dry and dull skin
Remove acne scars
Make your skin brighter, smoother & tighter
Repair damaged skin cells & promote the development of new ones

So what what was my verdict?
Even after a few days, I noticed quite a big difference in my skin. My skin felt a lot more plump and hydrated - I have combination/oily skin so normally I don't tend to notice significant plumping benefits from skincare products. Despite being on the oilier side, I actually love products with Hyaluronic Acid as I find it can stop my skin from over-producing oil, so this serum worked really well for me.
It has a light texture, isn't too sticky, works well under make-up and sinks in fairly quick.
As for the Vitamin C element, I definitely found that it helped to even out my skin tone - a lot. I suffer from hyper-pigmentation and I'm often left with dark scars after I have a blemish. This serum really helped to lighten up a lot of the dark areas and in a matter of days which I was really surprised to see.
I've now been using it for just over two weeks between once and twice a day and I'm really enjoying it.
The serum is vegan, cruelty-free and retails at £20 for 20ml of product. I would definitely consider purchasing a second bottle with my own money once I run out.
